Rant/Thread:
I'm not prepared to put up with this for much longer. Lives being dictated by flawed data, "official experts," and lockdowns. Being told who we can see, where we can do and how we can do it. The reasoning of 'people are dying!' or 'The NHS is busy!'
Wanting to live your life is not selfish. If you have problem with that, as I say, that's your problem to sort out. The purpose of life is not to avoid death or a virus, nor 'protect the NHS.'
I respect health workers of course but this idea that their workload decides when we can go to school, work, on holiday, or see our friends is not on to me.
It is gravely sad that people are losing their lives, from COVID, cancer, heart disease... anything, and I do send my condolences to everyone.
The times of 2019 seem a world away, but i'm sure everyone just misses how it was. Waking up with a day ahead, living life. Parties, days
out and seeing friends. All this taken away and they certainly aren't in a rush to restore it. It's hard for me to articulate but I just wonder about these scientists and whoever, who are they to tell us how many people we can meet and at what distance i.e.
A great quote (this might be a paraphrase - cant remember it exactly) is how quality of life is so much more important than quantity. It is so much more desirable to live a short, quality life than a long life of misery
However on a more positive note I do feel like this won't last much longer. Us Brits are at the end of the tether now. I think give this a month and we'll be in a much different position. 🤞❤️
I will end with this. I think this is a great summary of my overall thoughts.. thanks for all the comments and support đź’• https://twitter.com/MathewMKC/status/1357682352944726017?s=20
