If we're lucky, we'll start to hear a LOT more stories like this in the coming months. Every place I've heard of that's pushed Critical Theories out of the institution feared to do it, called it painful, and was SO GRATEFUL they did after the fact. https://twitter.com/graceisforyou/status/1359591808490041345
The best thing I've heard for understanding Wokeness in the workplace/institution is that you have to, in the present moment, think of your company like a dry forest full of pine needles and brush and Woke ideas like little fires. You have to put out the fires completely or burn.
If you have a particular activist, and you probably do, in your institution who keeps bringing them up, think of that person like a teenager throwing lit matches or, as the case may be, an arsonist. What would you do to save your forest? Not indulge them. Not give them matches.
I'm put in mind of a guy in a small town I used to know about who would start fires then call the fire department to help put them out. This is apparently a thing. We see this behavior with lots of Wokish people (e.g., elected and appointed Democrats and even Republicans).
