How To Become The Leader Wherever You're

~ THREAD ~
We all want to be leaders.

First, understand the difference between leaders and managers.

Leaders look to inspire, help, understand.
Managers look to gain status, order, automate.

"Leadership is a choice, not a rank" - Simon Sinek.
Once you understand the difference, start becoming a leader.

Start being calm while everyone is in chaos. Make the rational decisions based on logic not in emotions.

Calmness gives you clarity and helps you become more trustworthy for difficult decisions.
Next, practice empathy.

Sometimes you just need to listen and really care about how others feel.

Share your understanding with them, make them feel comfortable talking about their problems with you.

Remember that a leader should always be someone others can count on.
A good leader is humble

Accept that you are not always right and encourage others to give you feedback to improve.

You don't know everything, no one does. Be open-minded, but always have boundaries.

If you want status and attention, become a manager, not a leader.
Always set the example

If you want to be respected and listened to, start showing others how to do it.

Good leaders always set a good example, they don't order you around, but motivate you to follow their steps.

Start treating others as you want to be treated
Be responsible.

Take the blame, even if it wasn't your mistake.

Make others feel safe around you. When you are accountable, you show them that you care about them.

After taking the blame, support them and encourage them to improve through organization and constant learning
You want to become a leader? Then:

- Train yourself to be calm

- Be empathic with everyone

- Don't seek attention, seek to help

- Set a good example for others to follow you

- Be accountable and always take the blame for others
