Heavily inspired by @utdmaram and @utdarena I've decided to try my hand at making vizzes for United games.

Thanks to @keerthigunner for the help with the data and @nandy_sd for his Tableau pass map guide!

My thoughts on yesterday's game below.

Likes and RTs appreciated!
United struggled to play into the box. In fact, Rashford's only successful pass in the box was the assist for the goal. Fred was the main passer in midfield, a role that Bruno or Pogba have usually taken up, and apart from rotating the ball across the pitch, he lacked incision.
VdB's pass map makes for bad reading, but the truth is that the United players haven't yet found themselves on the same wavelength as the Dutchman. He uses his movement to create space for himself and others, but no one could really pick him out and he hardly saw the ball.
AWB is finally getting better up the pitch, and looked much more confident going forward. His passing and movement into the half-spaces gives United a much improved right wing and enables us to stretch the opposition down the right, something that we have struggled to do.
We also see Greenwood in much deeper positions, which is not necessarily a bad thing, and he was arguably one of our best players yesterday and over the last few games. However, most of his passes are angled backwards owing to West Ham's deep block and lack of crossing option.
The introduction of Bruno was always going to be a game changer and we see his passing in and around the penalty area. His presence upped the tempo of the game and meant that we were able to threaten West Ham better than we had been earlier in the game.
Overall, it was a game that many of us found boring and rightly so. United found it hard to break through and eventually came away with the win thanks to McTominay. With such a fixture list, we can't afford to play extra minutes and we need to finish off games better.

THE END.
