#Kazakhstan lobbied European Parliament to withdraw critical resolution on human rights - scheduled for adoption today. Good that #Kazakhstan is sensitive to international concerns - but more important would be to respect human rights at home - period.

A reminder than genuine reforms are urgently needed to put an end to attacks on media, trade unions, civil society groups and political opposition.
