Support for full employment or Job Guarantee policies from folks like Coretta Scott King, Pauli Murray, Sadie Alexander, and even the Black Panther Party I think shows it has a Black progressive & radical legacy.
& that the JG is less about making everyone work & instead is about showing how work is abundant, socially constructed, and can be used to build out abolitionist, decolonial, socialist economies of care.
Also the JG can be thought of as a path for us all to have to work less (de-commodify wage labor) but get paid more (a living wage), so I would argue it gets us closer to a post-work future in a better manner than just UBI or robust social services can on there own.
