See the thing about being the head of an institution that receives hundreds of millions of $ from corporations & foreign interests is, when you harass people on Twitter it spills into real life. Reporters pick up on it. Humans buy into it. You’ve signal boosted it into reality.

I once met a woman while petitioning on the subway in 2019 who yelled at me and called me racist because I supported Bernie. I got her to open up to discuss and it turns out she was part of the online universe that Neera built. And the messaging was - shocker - from Neera.

I’ve discussed this a lot but there were bonkers conspiracies being floated online (Twitter, Reddit) and later in actual reports (cable, Buzzfeed) about things that were verifiably not possible on the unity reform commission-propagated by Neera. She found a way to tie it to race.

Ex: the bernie crew wanted to eliminate ALL primaries & replace them w/“racist” caucuses.

Not even something we had ability to do, aside from the whacky framing/conspiratorial nature coming from Neera. But this was all to target harassment of people pushing for financial reform

That targeted harrassment which had been ongoing since the primary (it was 2yrs later) spilled into real life where I got a threat, had to report it to the now chair Jaime Harrison. Who was concerned, dealt with it quickly.

Tweets stopped coming.

this is NOT about rewarding someone who has little Twitter outbursts. It’s someone who has a history of physical, verbal and targeted harassment at people who stand in the way of her donors agendas.

With a quick sorry she gets rewarded with overseeing the US budget?
