1) Pull the plug in disconnection

Start with micro affirmations:

- Give a compliment
- Greet people before you launch a request
- Turn off notifications when talking to others
- Start a conversation with eye contact and a smile

Real connections will reduce your dependency
2) Allow your mind to power down

First, check your thoughts.

Confront your Iceberg believes:

"Deeply held subconscious ideas about how the world should work"

When recognized, challenge that belief with a realistic reframe.
3) Press pause on your impulses

Reduce the dopamine hits by setting limits on when and where you'll use your devices.

Set a time and space for free-device zones
Practice meditation or deep breathing
Read a book or write a journal

Replace some tech habits with new activities
Something that is working for me is setting limits on certain social media apps.

After the time is up they will lock
That's a sign you should slow down
