Been thinking about President Oaks counsel to not join in violence against the government. I just read about the destruction of the Nephites. It started because in their arrogance they went on an offensive war against their enemies contrary to the Lords commands

They disobeyed the Lord & would not repent end & so the Lord wasn’t with them in protecting them.

The people of Limhi had similar issues. They fought their enemies for their freedom multiple times. They lost multiple times until they humbled themselves before the Lord

Then the Lord delivered them without fighting.

We were given peace for the last four years. The people did not repent. We were given a harsh year last year. The people did not repent.

Before the civil war the people on both sides were eager to fight. They assumed they would easily triumph. Instead they killed each other for 4 years, killing more Americans than in any other war

Do you think they were more wicked than we are?

During the civil war there was a place of refuge in the west. Where is our place of refuge? Do you think the Stakes of Zion are prepared for what is to come? With all the corruption going on around us? Has the Holy City been built yet? Are we the people we need to be?

We cannot survive what is coming without the Lord. We need to be able to #HearHim. We need to know & live the scriptures. We need to build a place of safety. We need to know how to use the priesthood in righteousness.

We should be fasting & praying continually for this. We should be doing good to save this people & our families.

Make it a goal today to hear the Lord & follow Him
