Bad news: My daughter's beloved stuffed bear, Pinkie Pie, suffered an acute LED failure last night. She's about to go in for an emergency circuit bypass graft.

Please keep her in your hopes and prayers.
Good news-despite a bit of corrosion, the circuit board seems to be working...it's sending 5V up the LED lead when it plays. Bad news...that means I'm going to have to open her up.
There's the culprit. Now to figure out where its supposed to be.
Unfortunately, I can't find the LED panel by hand, so Pinkie Pie's going to need a full-on endoscopy.
There's the culprit. First LED in the series lost its ground lead. The question is...can we save it, or bypass it to save the rest?
Success. Time to close.
Little bit of hot glue to keep everything in place....
Looks like she's going to need a stuffing transfusion ...
...and we're ready to close her up.
Success. Pinkie Pie is recuperating in the recovery ward. I have her on a multimeter to monitor her vitals, but she's young and has a fresh set of AAAs, and should make a full recovery.
Pinkie has been discharged to his person.
Nerd question-Pinkie's lights seem to be wired in parallel with two leads that seem to be just ground and power. But they change color and fade into each other (they're clearly some kind of RGB LED).

How do they do that? (And no, I'm not going back in to find out.)
...and, $3 later, AliExpress is sending 100 of them, to arrive just in time for the girls to graduate college.
Well, to be clear, AliExpress is sending 100 of something. For 3 bucks (2 of which were shipping from China) I'll get what I get.
