I really love Ken Loach's films. Some have played amazing roles in fighting for social justice. But I also find some of his statements very concerning. I don’t like that he suggested that the “Zionist lobby” has disproportionate power and direct control over media outlets. 1/3

Or that “they want to leave intact the generalised sense of guilt that everyone has about the Jews” for political ends. I don’t like his inability to without qualification call out Holocaust denial. I think many Jews feel the same. 2/3

So if non-Jews are unquestionably telling Jewish people that these concerns are wrong and to be ignored, driven by the fact that they like his work, I ask you to refelct on what anti-racism is. 3/3
