There's a rash of community projects currently raising funds & investment in the Highlands & Islands, which is fantastic.
However many people perhaps don't realise that funding via crowdfunding platforms comes at a cost to the projects (typically 5%)........1/2

......while almost all projects will accept investment directly (you'll usually find details on their websites and/or in share prospectuses), which saves them the 5%.
