This past yr Asian Americans have had acid thrown on their bodies. Our faces have been slashed w knives. Our elderly are being targeted, slammed to the ground, assaulted while on walks. Our grandmothers robbed. Our college students have been victims of targeted shootings.
Last year Stop AAPI Hate reported over 2,808 hate incidents against the A Am community. The number of hate crimes against Asian Americans is rapidly rising in 2021. Check on your Asian American friends. We are navigating layers of pain, grief and trauma right now.
