Inter, the last 5-10 years with very few exceptions travel to Turin, get humiliated without ever seeing the ball & go back to Milan. This season Inter has faced Juventus three times & always put on a good performance. Even though Inter lost at home, the performance was great.
The team was failed by two individual mistakes from Young and Handanovic who yes, sorry to break it to you, once again shows how weak his mentality is. More than that, the team Inter without Lukaku and Hakimi at home created a good amount of chances to draw or get a result.
You’ll say, who cares they didn’t win? Yes it’s true, but the performance always count, specially when it’s against the team that’s dominated Italy and Serie A for ten years. In champions league there are no excuses, it was a failure, that’s that. But these games against juve?
Nah, there are positives to the games. Because juve played two games like a prime Reggina, difference is they have probably the best striker in the world on top and he’s the one who made a difference, more so, Inter gifted him two goals and that’ll always make a difference.
Yesterday Inter faced a task that was more or less impossible. Y’all say Chiellini & Bonucci didn’t play? Ok. De Ligt is a top player, Demiral is good. Cuadrado, Alex Sandro, Danilo, all great Serie A players. More so when they are defending collectively & strike on the counter.
Disappointed with Lukaku and Lautaro, yes me too, specially from the duels where it felt like they didn’t win once, but still it has to be mentioned, they were always in numeric inferiority. I think Inter over two legs pulled of two very good matches against a tough opponent.
Most importantly Inter showed something they haven’t done against Juventus the last ten seasons more and less. Conte and the team are doing a great job and even though the squad has some big limits they are performing and playing good football
