since dream apologists have been testing me: a thread of reasons why dream has earned his place in the prison and why his treatment in there is no way comparable to tommys exile.

also dream apologists i dont care to hear yr side. yr defending an abuser. ;] also fiction affects reality. i didnt spend 2 weeks in a depressive episode bc of the exile and how much it reminded me of my home life for u guys to say “its just a mc rp!!” shut up.

dream intentionally separated tommy from everyone. he blew up his things, pretended to be his friend, purposely ruined tommys party (the only thing tommy had to look forward to) all in an attempt to make tommy completely reliant on him and make sure he was no longer a threat.
hes completely ruined people’s trust for tommy TO THIS DAY. people are still convinced tommy blew up the community house, to the point where hes just accepted it and says it was him for simplicity’s sake.
dream broke tommy. this is so apparent even on the first day. begging for forgiveness at any wrongdoing, being unable to sleep, waking up drowning, contemplating/attempting suicide, being reckless in regards to his food and health - dream knew what he was doing to break tommy.
the affects are still there, too. tommy is fully traumatised from his exile. hes triggered by small holes, doesnt like people asking for his armour, and as we saw w techno he didnt like plains biomes and chugged gapples so that he was always ready to fight dream.
and tommy was canonically in exile for two months. oh and dream also took tommys shoes upon escorting him out of lmanburg. he knew that what he was doing was going to break tommy down and he wanted it that way. dream abused tommy and manipulated him into being fully reliant.
2. hes a literal FELON?? with very much villainous intentions. he wanted power over the entire server in case u all forgot. ofc it would be safer to put him in a high security prison. this is literally his list of felonies and he holds the record for the most committed.
“but wilbur was a felon!!” wilbur is dead. tommy and tubbo are children who are trying to seek out peace. techno isnt provoking wars either. theres like no other war criminals on the server lol. everyone got what they deserved for the crimes they did commit.
dream was fully prepared to go to extreme measures to ensure his power was secured. he was ready to take everyones attachments and kill tubbo. he literally cut off all of his own attachments to make it easier. idk what else to say other than ur literally ignoring a villain.
3. hes probs faking it for sympathy lols
sam told the badlands that dream told him abt what he did to tommy. he didnt seem regretful abt what he did. he STILL tries to manipulate tommy while hes in the prison and is succeeding w ranboo.

dream said a while back that he was going to do smth to “make everyone hate him” and that he was “going away for a while”. this entire thing?? most likely planned. dream planned to get into the prison and he’ll break out eventually. he knows hes supposed to be there-
so why would his morale be any sort of broken if he just has plans to get out and be worse? it makes NO fucking sense. plus dream is barely mistreated in prison, and is certainly not treated w the same cruelty that tommy was in exile.
sam withdrawing his food when he misbehaves is probably the most harsh punishment, but thats it. he gets to write. he gets his clock replaced. he gets visitors. dream actively made attempts to make sure he was tommys only visitor, knowing that itd drive tommy over the edge.

except that u can like his character idc i think his character is v interesting but Please dont go around saying he did nothing wrong, that he deserves to be freed or whatever cus hes proven that he doesnt.

oky i deleted one of the tweets cus reading it back it sounded guilt trippy as fuck but my point still stands that fiction affects reality and people were affected in real ways by the exile arc. ppl know that “its just a rp” but its rude to diminish their struggles bc of that

i hope u guys know that im not reading anything in the replies or qrts i just wanna give my pov on why dsmp dream is irredeemable and deserving of what he got Im not here to argue anyway
