Many are asking, "How does a coyote get to Manhattan?"
Coyotes, prevalent in the Bronx, likely use the Henry Hudson Bridge at night or swim the narrow channel, arriving in Inwood Hill Park where coyotes also reside.
From Inwood Hill Park they walk to Fort Tryon Park (which has coyotes), and sometimes on to Riverside Park. From there it's a short walk to Central Park.
Lastly, coyotes are known to travel five to ten miles per day. They may wander more during mating season (now) in search of a mate. Traversing Central Park or even much of Manhattan is not a problem for them.
