Do what you can with what you've got where you are
Let's take a closer look at this little gem of stoic philosophy in reverse order.
Where am I?

If you think in these terms it may help to get your perspective out of your head, and you might realize that where you are isn't so bad.
What do I have?

It never hurts to take stock of the resources that are available to you. You may feel poor, but how will you know without taking an inventory of what you really have?
What can I do?

Once you know where you really are, and what you really have, you may find that you can do more than you had imagined.
The point of all this is to encourage you to live the life you actually have, instead of wasting your time wishing you were someone else with a different life.
There is so much more I could say on the subject, but alas, this is only a tweet. I hope you will fill in the blanks for yourself.
This thread was inspired by the December 14th episode of the @HiddenBrain podcast, Minimizing Pain, Maximizing Joy. It's a good podcast.
