The lift hill is technically boring but builds anticipation. It was pretty ubiquitous until the launch start attempted to usurp it
Lets the cart reach very high speeds very quickly. Was expected to be the future of rollercoasters, but the technical difficulties, breakdowns, and errors stopped it from being spread too far.
The loop is a pretty old element and was pretty standard. It was pretty cool until like every and any other element was created.
Straight
Pretty cute name for a pretty cute element. Fun for all ages, not too rough.
A banked turn is a section of track that turns the cart partially on its side.
An over banked turn is a more extreme version of the banked turn, as the cart is turned completely on its side or sometimes further over.
A dive loop is a when the track rotates the cart so that it can “dive” into a loop.
The steel coaster is smooth, reliable, nice, and comfortable which is why it is my preferred type of rollercoaster.
The wooden coaster is older than the steel coaster and generally rougher and sometimes gives me a headache, but many ‘coaster enthusiasts will die in defense of it
The brake run slows down the whole ride and, if over-utilized, can ruin the whole experience
The double up consists of two air time hills with the second one being higher, bouncing the ride upwards
The double down is two air time hills with the second being lower. “Doubling down” is also when you insist on confirming to coworkers through metaphor that you come too quickly
The trick track double up is a funny name and is an element that seems like it was created as a prank, pretty tricky.
