the thing that bothers me most about the police is they are ostensibly supposed to be enforcing the law, but if you actually call them for 90% of crimes they will tell you there is nothing they can do.
package thefts, car break-ins, car thefts, shoplifting, bike theft, burglaries, even muggings. they do paperwork. if there's a pattern, they will look into it.
