Chanyeol and DO met during the photoshoot of their profiles. When no one goes near DO due to his astigmatism, Chanyeol kind-heartedly approached him, which would be the start of their life-long friendship.

CHAPTER TWO: 2011 - TRAINEE DAYS
Back to their first day of meeting, they became close quickly and rode a train together since their houses are only few block apart.

Chanyeol & DO got closer during their trainee period. They were always together, doing covers of songs, and DO would always hang out in Chanyeol's house. Chanyeol's dad revealed that DO would sleep at their house during the holidays.
As such, Chanyeol's whole family has also become fund of Kyungsoo. Yoora's favorite member is DO. Chanyeol's mom would refer to herself as an "eomma" to DO.

Despite everything that happened that year, they still maintained their good friendship. Chanyeol would even special mention him every time he's not around and tell him "I love you".

Despite being busy with their schedules, Kyungsoo would still go frequently to Chanyeol's studio. They would compose songs together. They also released a cover of the song 'Love Yourself' during that time.

CHAPTER EIGHT : 2019 - JAPAN TRAVELS & KYUNGSOO'S ENLISTMENT
In February 2019, the they were spotted in Japan spending their vacation (also DO's first vacation in several years). We didn't really have any pictures but several OPs spotted them in a museum and amusement park.

The next month, March, we find out that they were together again and returned to Japan. Kyungsoo was having his cooking classes and Chanyeol accompanied him.
But wait there's more, they returned once more to Japan the following month. This time we had more receipts as they were spotted in several streets in Tokyo.
Around May, Chanyeol had his surgery and felt down as he couldn't talk. As such, Kyungsoo would often go to his house to play beside him so he won't be alone. How sweet is that
Then came the most painful part of the story, Kyungsoo had to leave for his military service. But of course Chanyeol secures his spot beside him for the last time.
During EXplOration, the first tour Kyungsoo was absent, Chanyeol mentions that the member who was always beside him was no longer around and that he misses him
Just when we thought their story is over, Chanyeol revealed that Kyungsoo actually went to visit him during his military break to play and eat.
CHAPTER TEN : 2020 - INDIVIDUAL PATHS
We didn't really have a single ChanSoo moment during this year but Chanyeol states that the 2 of them still meet each other. Yeol would also often mention Kyungsoo out of the blue, even citing him as still the artist he want to collab with.

Proof of their closeness as friends is they spend Christmas days together. They had at least 2 Chistmases with each other. One during their pre-debut along with Chanyeol's other friends, another in 2018 with Mackenyu and other artists.
