Why foreground or highlight these things, 3.5 years in? Our city faces huge challenges ahead, and we need our best and brightest at the table. This kind of discourse is meant to silence people and make them smaller. It sends the message that the public sphere is not for them.

I’ve been really clear from the beginning that this isn’t about me, or my feelings. But it is about respect for the office and respect for each other. And mostly its about not accepting disgusting behaviour as being “part of the job”.
