My restauranteur friend said it still didn't make sense for him to open today. When asked why he said this:
Well you called me out so I have to respond but I should have held my tongue. My bad.
There’s no way for this to not come off like a rant. And I’m past complaining about

this. I’m resolved to go with the flow but it’s costing me a lot of money and business opportunities. I’m going broke. Haha.
For restaurants we are very excited to reopen but in a way that we built our biz model around. I’m a cocktail lounge with live music and a crowded space.

There’s a lot of real challenges with these limitations and restrictions. Dozens of reasons why “reopening”under restrictions increase my risk for losing money... I’m sorry restaurants have been burned so many different ways with these closures and reopens. We put on a brave face
we try and stay positive and for me try using it as an opportunity to be creative and try new things. Evolve.

Millennial staff is on CERB and it’s hard to convince even the best intentioned employees to come back and it’s equally hard to guarantee them full time hours.

to “86” items. Customers don’t like to hear that we can’t make a salad because we have no romaine... 1
Google...this place sucks!
I could say more and I get that others have suffered too. Just makes sense sometimes for either a full close or a full reopen.
