Mitch McConnell just voted that it's unconstitutional to try a former president after he blocked a trial of Trump while he was president.
McConnell's argument then was that there was no way to have a fair trial in the week between the House impeachment and Biden's swearing in.

Raskin's main argument is that it would be the founders' worst nightmare to have a president thinking they could act with impunity to interfere with the counting of the electoral votes to stay in power.
