Itâs also part of an international ideology and push by the right - including the likes of trump - to discredit the media and erode public trust.
I worked in the ABC for 14 years. There were people of all political stripes working there. We adhered to strict editorial policies.

The ABC is a crucial, free and fair information sources for many Australians - including those who are isolated in the bush or who canât afford subscription news.
Yet this govt continues to relentlessly ideologically attack & defund the ABC. Determined to bring it to its knees

Just think about this...What would it actually mean for Oz democracy and society if this source of information disappeared? Look around at the media landscape right now. Who would hold the govt and other power players to account?
