Thermocline Mitra's droppings of wisdom in his latest interview with @Abhina_Prakash. Posting without comment, because how does one even begin to rebut this nonsense?
1. The first batch of Tejas has an EL/M 20-something radar. Which is a gallium-arsenide based radar.
2. You had AESA technology from the Phalcon since 2006/07, but you still couldn't convert it into an operational fire control radar (Uttam)
3. If you had belief in the Uttam radar—that this radar was going to work—why did you want a French radar on the Rafales that you bought? You can announce right now that all your Sukhois are going to be changed to this radar ... you're not doing that.
4. Even on your ships, you had to buy a completely new radar (MF-STAR) instead of improving on your own radar (Uttam again, I presume).
5. You couldn't translate the Phalcon into something, you couldn't translate the Green Pine into something. (Coz Netra and LRTR don't real?)
6. Why hasn't the technology from the Phalcon and Green Pine not been integrated with the Rafale program and the Sukhoi program?
7. The Netra is a "completely malfunctioning radar".
8. If the Tejas is so good, pass a law saying we will not buy foreign aircraft. Himmat hai? Karo na?
9. Developing a fourth generation fighter in India is an anthropological impossibility. [Abhinav: Then how do you account for ISRO?]. Because ISRO is different. [Why?] Because it is! 🙇🏻‍♂️
10. A fighter aircraft is different from a space launch vehicle because it has weapons, sensor systems, "thrust and energy", "there are combat skills involved", "there are networking skills involved" ...
11. Rockets are simple because the basic technology of a rocket was developed 80-90 years back, with the V-2 rocket. (I believe the first aircraft—the Spitfire—is of the same vintage?).
13. The F-15EX is a 4.75+ generation fighter.
14. The LCA, Gripen, Rafale, programs all started at the same time.
15. Pakistan's game is all about throwing their "numbers" against Indian "quality".
