COVID shaming is not it. I've been reading how the current stigma its similar to STI/Sex shaming and abstinence only practice & srry it just doesn't work! Risk is inevitable. Best practice is harm reduction approach + education on how to lower risk as much as possible.
Just seeing lots "THOSE PEOPLE ARE BAD AND I'M BETTER BECAUSE I DONT DO X,Y,Z" and like there's lots of valid reasons to feel that way and I get the anger if you're a vulnerable population.. but also it just doesn't work from a public health perspective.
People are gonna people and there's unfortunately no risk free approach to existing right now. If u know u gonna do something risky just do your best to lower that risk as much as possible. Get tested! Double mask! Do outdoor activities & all the other things to reduce risk.
Also keep in mind all of the other external factors (structural, institutional, social, economic) for why people may not be able to follow CDC/WHO covid-19 guidelines to a T.
