if you are an antizionist jew zionists themselves will not HESITATE to say you are not a real jew, not a good jew, you personally are responsible for causing hate crimes, that you are literally a nazi, yet... somehow goyim should magically know not to "conflate jews with israel"?

israel is literally a jewish ethnostate and it is one that is materially supported in many ways by jews around the world. i can go into half the synagogues around here and see the israeli flag flying, collect money that goes to jnf to plant trees on palestinian land...

and yes, as a black antizionist jew with no connection to israel of course it is grating if Some Rando comes into a completely unrelated conversation and their first question is about israel. that says more about them than about me.

but that doesn't mean that i have no RESPONSIBILITY to address and deal with the ways that in fact israel is a part of jewish life, jewish people, today.

i am part of the jewish people and yes sure it's "not my country" but that's a cop out, it exists, it is deeply important to my people and it has caused unspeakable harm on behalf of my people. these are all things that, as part of the jewish people are part of me too.

then again the idea of dual loyalty always seemed like an eye roll accusation to me as an anarchist anyway. i have no loyalty to states but am always going to be fully committed to love and liberation for my people. i don't need to accept that stepping on others is the way to it.
