One of the greatest conceptual albums I have heard! This tribute to a man who dies and is forgotten. No glory, glamorous life, no fun. Just an ordinary black sheep. It’s a journey from start to end from the orchestral conclusion to Black Thoughts metaphors.

From the production to the lyrically ability this album has it all. Combining rash honesty to electrifying lyricism. Madlib can’t go unnoticed with his talent and 10+ years of experience made for some of the best production I’ve heard.

Lyrically talented, you can hear how he has the right mindset and how pensive he is about his career as we listen through this album. Joey gives us some promising contemporary beats, while also slowing down and ambling through golden-era hip-hop.

The most heartbreaking, intense, intimate, and beautiful lyrical performances I’ve ever heard. You can hear his pain in his voice through the the tracks, talking about his struggles with depression and the loss of someone close by vividly storytelling.

2019: Titanic Rising-Weyes Blood
Perfect is an understatement. I am literally transported to a place where I can be free, and not have any worries while still being connected with her storytelling and being immersed into work. A masterpiece from front to back.
