/ 5 - @ral1 - +millions. This is everything. And aligning this in the era of zoom is HARD. Wobbles everywhere. On one zoom, someone says something and intent v. impact is way off ... but time + medium prevent real-time correction so ladders of inference are climbed ... high! https://twitter.com/ral1/status/1359234742894297088
/5 - Have you seen real tactics in remote/zoom that help drive ensuring the human-to-human course corrections that need to happen always so radical candor happens as close to real-time as possible?
/5- Ref story. Leader of managers does skip levels. Skip level <> Leader of leader meet-up goes awry. Skip level doesn't feel able to give real-time-feedback and ostensibly lets it go, but subtly shares with with others that Leader of leader is "meh".
/5 - Zoom makes it all harder, because there are so many fewer ways to form a holistic view of another human. So the leader's toolkits in building trust are limited or different than in-person. Curious if you have thoughts. @annemorriss - you might have thoughts on this too.
/5 @annemorriss - you might have thoughts on this too. B/c the story above, and many others, come down to folks experiencing "authenticity" and "empathy" wobbles and needing new ways to correct them (especially when you're hiring and leading folks w/o ever meeting them live).
