I wish, once again, they would release the full datasets the committee gets to see, including the characteristics of the lots, the changes that are made to the manufacturing process and when they are made, where the lots go and when they are used, etc.
In the absence of all that info, the best substitute we have are these investigations: reverse-engineering batch codes, weighing cores, trying to correlate differences in physical characteristics to performance, and so on.
