(2) For instance, members of the White Patriot Party in North Carolina obtained stolen weapons and other supplies from the armory at Fort Bragg, NC.
(3) During 1984 and 1985 one man sold thirteen LAW rockets, ten Claymore anti-personnel mines, 200 pounds of C-4 plastic explosives, blasting caps, weapons, ammunition, CS riot gas, TNT, and other military equipment to the WPP for $50,000 in cash.
(4) That guy purchased all of these from active-duty soldiers stationed in Fort Bragg, using either cash or drugs for currency.
(5) Significantly, one item from Fort Bragg—purchased by that guy and delivered to the WPP—was a set of camouflage fatigue uniforms. Active-duty servicemen then helped train the camouflage-outfitted CKKKK/WPP members to use the stolen weapons.
(6) David Lane, a member of white terrorist group the Order and the author of the "14 Words" slogan taken up by white power activists across generations, was present for at least one of these weapons sales, one that included five antitank rockets.
(7) C4 plastic explosives, like the ones missing today from Twentynine Palms, was also routinely stolen by the Order. When they busted one guy with a pound and a half, investigators noted that it was enough to blow up a courthouse. Today we're worried about TEN POUNDS
(8) It is unconscionable that we are still dealing with this problem. This has been an issue for a really long time. In 1986, a Pentagon official said $900 million in arms, electronic components, parts, and other equipment and supplies disappeared nationwide.
(9) Too many of these missing weapons of war end up in the hands of white power activists intent on deadly violence against civilians, infrastructure, and democratic institutions. And with white power on the march, this has to be dealt with swiftly.
(10) As always, if you'd like to learn more, I discuss the history of this problem in my book Bring the War Home. https://www.powells.com/book/bring-the-war-home-9780674237698
