The white ppl were also more spread out and closer to their central source of power (after the American Revolution). Slaves in Mississippi would struggle to communicate w/ slaves in Virginia.
When to start? February? It’s 70 in Houston and snowing in Tennessee. Wait later, and it’s 105 in Texas. Wait later, and it’s Hurricane season. Wait later, it’s snowing again in Tennessee.
If masses of Blk Am managed to escape, where do they flee? All to Canada, a thousand miles away? To Mexico where the half Black President was assassinated? Risk being re-enslavement by Natives Americans? Flee to Haiti which was already oppressed by France? Back to Africa?
