Nationalists are like arsonists: Even when the fire they lit burns down their own house they still won't acknowledge that it's their fault.
Now they're blaming Nicola Sturgeon and her corrupt crew for failing to deliver their dream. As if Sturgeon is some kind of anomaly. Look around at the world. Look through history. Every Nationalist movement, every Nationalist leader is exactly the same.
Nationalism is a vehicle for selfish and incompetent politicians to gain political power by amplifiying grievance and hate. They shamelessly take advantage of people's dreams, stringing them along with false promises and hope. But it's always a dead end.
Sadly, many of the people supporting them are willing victims. They want someone to tell them how to hate. It gives them some meaning to be attached to something, anything. And they delude themselves that their fires they start are under control.
Nationalism always ends in the centralisation of power, a corrupt ruling class, and the elevation of the state over the individual. Yet the people who vote for it continue to dismiss their part in creating its hideous reality, preferring the false dreams their leaders feed them.
They're like the people who - ignoring a century of oppression and millions of deaths - say, 'Communism has never worked because it hasn't been done properly.'
Even when everything is burned to the ground they stand in the ashes and cry, 'How could this have happened to us?' But they NEVER look in the mirror.
Will any Nationalist ever come clean and say, 'This corruption, these scandals, this incompetence, this division. All of it is all caused by our own Nationalism.' Don't bet on it, because Nationalism is, by definition, deflection. It's always someone else's fault.
But if they won't we will. They voted for it, they promoted it, they reveled in in. Every Nationalist owns this and we will NEVER let them forget what they have done.
