THREAD: How to grow your ecommerce business from $500k/year to $5MM a year

...without sacrificing your health, your personal life, or your family.

Society has brainwashed entrepreneurs to believe they must sacrifice their life for their business to succeed.

This is a FALSE.
How do I know this is false?

Because I had to unlearn this belief system in order to build a successful business.
For years I was caught up in “crush it culture.”

My identity was tied to my ability to work harder than other people. I loved the grind.

It was a toxic belief system and it made me do things I look back on and laugh at.
It’s not only possible to build an awesome business without sacrificing your life for it.

It’s the only way to sustain it over the long-term.

Here are 5 steps to making that happen. Let's go!
1. Get grounded in reality.

Being disconnected from your reality as an entrepreneur is dangerous (and quite common).

Ask yourself the question: Where am I in my life right now?

Personal, professional, relationships.

Get help with your blind spots.
2. Create a crystal clear vision.

It's easy to confuse action with progress.

Imagine it’s 1 year from now and you’re doing incredibly well.

What exactly does that look like? Who is on your team?

Get specific and get clear.
3. Find your focus.

Most entrepreneurs try to do too much.

You don't need to win on 5 channels to grow to $5MM.

Be top 1% on one channel, not top 10% on 5 channels.

Build a company dashboard and track 5 to 10 metrics weekly.
4. Get expert help.

Don't waste $50,000 to save $5000.

Once you figure out what you need to do, get help.

Email business owners, hire practitioners, ask successful people how they're accomplishing what they are doing.
5. Build systems to lock in growth.

Growth isn't valuable until you remove yourself from being responsible for it.

Build SOPs, hire and train people, create systems, etc.

Figure out your highest leverage activities and do only those things.

Invest in the long-term.
