Why on earth are Democrats thinking of turning down heart-rending testimony from congressional staffers and Capitol police that could cut and recut into ads and social media videos for years?

The thing that will make this impeachment trial watchable and interesting is witness testimony. Not just from victims. Make that "QAnon shaman" testify! Make Trump aides squirm! Let's get wild with this shit.

Republicans would NEVER make this mistake. They road Benghazi for *two years*. And that was a fake controversy about made-up shit! Democrats have a very real and very serious crime here. Make sure no one in America can ignore it.

Republicans are having absolute meltdowns at the very idea of insurrection witnesses telling their story. That is reason enough to do more of it.

Frankly, I think Democrats are scared. They're scared to confront their Republican colleagues, who are largely complicit with Trump's insurrection. But it is their patriotic duty to stand up to creeping fascism. If not now, when?

I recognize the Democrats have a lot to do. (Though honestly, without removing the filibuster, it's not that much!) But beating back fascism has to be priority #1. They cannot half-ass this!
