The society we live in is mainly made up of people who can't think properly.
Somehow we have stumbled unto something that works reasonable well anyway.

We tend to think that because we are reasonable and most people we know are also, that the world can be trusted to be somewhat reasonable. This is not true.
If what we have was to be overthrown or replaced, there is no reason to expect there to be reasonable boundaries on what people will come up with.
For this reason, fundamental changes to the structure of society are dangerous.
There is no solid foundation to rebuild a better one. There is just a large number of people most of whom are fundamentally alien to you, and you have no idea where they will head.
