Across Europe, Referees are paid on a game-by-game basis. LaLiga £5500 pG, Ligue 1 £2400 pG etc.
This means if you f*ck up, you could see your income fall.

I want to criticise European Refs too.
Refs have been accused of lacking diversity, but this is a WIDESPREAD issue across the game.
