I am going to repeat this pt many times because it is VERY important. Bell took 122 million in pandemic relief that wasn’t designed for them (meant more for small businesses). They then paid dividends to shareholders and then got rid of a massive amnt of jobs. Cruel company.
Also, I think people should be putting political pressure for the government to scrutinize what happened. I doubt they could get the $122 million back but the feds have every right to know WTF happened.

To be very clear, Bell was eligible for the wage subsidy on paper. Nothing prevented it. However. just based on pure common sense and knowing what covid wage subsidies are about, they are designed help small business. Bell was elegible but should they be applying? Id say no.
Small number of comments over the last couple hours misinterpreting that salient point in the last tweet so feel need to clarify. I thought I was pretty clear but I wasn’t for everyone.
