Not so friendly reminder that the "foolish woman spilled hot coffee on herself and blamed mcdonalds" thing is pure propaganda. That woman was RIDICULOUSLY injured due to coffee being served hot enough to cause third degree burns without even a warning on the cup.

Her labia were fused together and she was burned so bad that bone was exposed. This wasn't a minor injury resulting from individual error. Mcdonald's were completely to blame and decided to spin it as her fault despite the extensive medical treatment she needed.

In other words stop victim blaming.

The victim didn't even get the full amount she was supposed to be awarded bc the jury still tried to say she was partially at fault due to how she opened the cup (you mean how EVERYONE opens their coffee cup?) As if that changes the temperature of the coffee and risk for injury

McDs literally knew about the coffee temperature and the risk it posed for basically a decade and did nothing.
