The picture is bleak on the perception about institutions. Check out the % of folks who think "most or all people in these groups or institutions" r #corrupt !

More folks think MPs, judges n even "religious leaders" are corrupt than Bankers!
Don't know what to think of that!

How r we faring in #Maldives?
Overall, supposed to have done well - improved by 14 points since the last survey - but a closer look paints a dim picture still.
Guess it was off t scales in the last administration!!

Even now, 90% folks think #GoM #corruption is a "big problem"!

More than half the respondents said #corruption is on the rise and had increased over the past 12 months.
This, when things had improved !

The felt #corruption is high -
just as the felt #MVinjustice is high.

38% of folks in #Maldives thought the @ACC_Maldives is doing well - which leaves the vast majority unconvinced, I guess.

We can only hope the ACC will #DoBetter.

56% of folks also seem to agree they themselves can do something in the fight against #corruption.

Perhaps next time, TI could ask the question differently.
Instead of asking if they "can", perhaps ask folks if they WILL do something to fight against corruption?
