Om namo Bhagavate Vaasudevaya 🙏

This thread is about the supreme avatar of Vishnu, Shri Krishna. Lessons and inspiration from his life and some misconceptions and name calling surrounding him.
1/n
Shri Krishna the supreme avatar of Vishnu made an everlasting impression upon mankind. He educated the world about devotion and dharma, he is considered as the full and perfect personification of Vishnu.
2/n
His glory is enduring, his story is a source of joy, lesson and inspiration for people from all walks of life. Krishna is the role model one is required to follow till the end.
3/n
As a child,as a son,as a brother,as a cowherd,as the beloved of the gopis,as a warrior,as a student,as a husband,as a friend,as a charioteer,as a guru,as a messenger throughout his life Krishna, through so many roles, taught people many things and set an example to follow.
4/n
We all know about the prophecy of Kamsa's (Krishna's maternal uncle) death and how he imprisoned Vasudeva and Devaki, how 6 of their children i.e Krishna's siblings were killed by Kamsa. Krishna took birth in a prison cell in Mathura.
5/n
He was then shifted to Gokula and was raised by head of the gollas (cowherds) Nanda and his wife Yashoda. Krishna too grew up as a golla along with his brother Balaram. Krishna later grew up in Vrindavan playing with the gopis,
6/n
singing and dancing with them, joking with them, stealing their butter and milk along with stealing their hearts; he is Chitta Chora! He also protected Vrindavan from numerous dangerous bought by Kamsa.
7/n
He was a very brave, mighty and intelligent child. Kamsa sent many alies to kill Krishna, but all of them were defeated by Prabhu. As the time asked for, Krishna as a child returned to Mathura and killed a powerful Kamsa in mallayuddha ( wrestling), Jai Shri Krishna!
8/n
But Krishna never returned to Vrindavan, the pain of separation was unbearable for the gopis, but they were slowly able to see their kanhaiya in nature and themselves too! This exactly was the consciousness
9/n
that Krishna had intended to instill in them from the very beginning, that he is everywhere even within us, we just have to recognise it.
Sakalam Krishna Mayam!
10/n
There is a *misconception regarding the divine singing and dancing between Krishna and the gopis, the raasleela. Raasleela isn't the way people today interpret it. During the raas the gopis experienced the divine vibes of the jeevatma merging in the paramatma.
11/n
Krishna blessed each of the gopis. Radha is said to have been the most devoted of the gopis, she is the prakriti and shakti. The love of RadhaKrishna is the purest and highest form of love, leading mankind forward on the path to paramatma.
12/n
Next is the *controversy regarding Krishna's 16108 wives(?)!! Krishna had only 8 wives (each of them has a sperate story) but his chief queen was Rukmini (Lakshmi). The other 16100 were captives of Narakasura
13/n
who asked Krishna to accept them as his wives or they would kill themselves, the jagadrakshaka accepted them. So before judging & commenting on Shri Krishna's character get your facts right!
14/n
Another *controversy surrounding Krishna is that he kidnapped Rukmini and married her. Well, they're LakshmiNarayana they're bound to be together. Rukmini was in love with Krishna while listening to all of Krishna's achievements and victories since her childhood.
15/n
She wanted to marry him. But her brother Rukmi who was a good friend of Shishupala ( Krishna's cousin who hated him) wanted to marry off his sister to him forcefully. Rukmini writes a letter to Krishna, and accordingly at her will Krishna flees with Rukmini and when
16/n
confronted by Rukmi he rightfully says that it is the right of the Kshatriya women to choose their husband. So get your knowledge updated before calling the lord a kidnapper!
17/n
The next major aspect of Krishna's life is as his role as a friend to Pandavas, his assistance, suggestions, help in their path to justice. In the eventual Kurukshetra Yuddha between Pandavas and their cruel cousins Kauravas Krishna serves as a sarathi (charioteer)
18/n
to Arjuna, the madhyama pandava. It is to Arjuna Krishna sings the BhagavatGita when he is reluctant to fight is own people.

BhagavatGita has 700 verses and stands out as Krishna’s most important gift to the world.
19/n
The Gita delivers the essence of bhakti & dharma in a way that the common man can understand, it is like a handbook for life told by the supreme being himself. He tells how to succeed in life while surviving in between obstacles.
20/n
Recite the Gita, understand it, follow it, life will be much easier.Krishna was a mighty warrior and the strongest and powerful of all during his time, offcourse because he is none other than Vishnu himself!
21/n
yet people call him *coward and deserter of battlefield (रणछोड़) because he fleed to Dwaraka from Mathura because of constant attacks from Jarasandha (FIL of Kamsa) who hated Krishna.
22/n
Krishna and Balarama both were capable of killing Jarasandha, but Krishna was waiting for the right time and the right person to do it. He wanted the credit and fame of doing the deed to go to Pandavas. 23/n
Yudhisthira king of Indraprastha was planning to conduct Rajasuya yagna in order to become the emperor. Krishna convinced Yudhisthira that Jarasandha was the only obstacle in Yudhisthira's way of becoming an emperor. Krishna planned a clever scheme to eliminate Jarasandha
24/n
by making Bheema wrestle with the Jarasandha in a duel. As planned, mighty Bheema killed Jarasandha. He is Krishna, the most intelligent one, the common man can't understand his plans, can he ?!
25/n
So to conclude, Krishna is the embodiment of happiness. In his presence everyone rejoices the moment, forgetting their miseries. Even till date, mere thought of Krishna fills our mind with joy!.

Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare 🙏
