Imagine being in our shoes as, even after the cybersecurity chief said no fraud, after the legal cases claimed no fraud, your guy and prominent supports went on tv claiming "landslide victory" & massive fraud.
Imaging watching outrageous, absurd fraud stories grow & get summarily debunked, but then live on as "proof" in the minds of those who wanted to believe.
Imagine the enraging feeling of watching an organized effort to *overturn* the election adopt the name "Stop the Steal".
Imagine hearing no pushback from those sworn to uphold the oath.

Imagine the concern building as days of "just let the legal process play out" end in 64 losses
and yet the rhetoric that this was stolen only grows despite the facts.

Imagine, after watching those myths being hatched & born, hearing oath-sworn officials rationalize that this doubt they'd help nurture in voters was itself a reason to question the results.
Imagine being on the side of the guy who won fair and square and hearing Rep Gohmert say this would require "violence in the streets" and learning that Trump called Raffensperger looking for more votes.
Just imagine the blood-boiling rage and fear of watching an orchestrated attempt to STEAL an election right under your noses.
And what did we do? We trusted in the courts and the election officials and the cyber officials and even, gulp, Bill Barr.

We called our congressmen & women and implored them - nearly always in vain - to start the transition, to do the simple act of acknowledging the President-Elect, to denounce the dangerous rhetoric.
We did NOT storm the Capitol. We did not injure 100+ police officers. We did not desecrate the most sacred building in our democracy.
We trusted in and used the democratic process.

Now imagine going through all that and being told to just get over it, to unify...
As we watch hundreds of GOP efforts to use these utterly false claims of fraud to limit voting rights.
We are furious now.

Because we aren't going to forget those who actively helped Trump try to steal this OR those of you who stayed silent while it happened.
