Be careful when ascribing GOP actions to the idea that Russia has kompromat on them or hacked RNC emails, that they are loyal to Trump because of blackmail.

There simply isn’t anything the conservative captive media would care about.

It would be SO EASY for the GOP to hang Hawley & Greene out to dry, blame it all on them, & say they cleaned house. They’re new, no allies, it costs them nothing.

The GOP is doing this because it furthers their deepest goals. They like it, they’re into it, this is the party they want.
If they can handwave armed insurrection there’s no further line to cross.
