(2/4) The court is scheduled to hear an appeal by these families, consisting of 27 people, nine of them children. These evictions are mainly based on claims that the land was owned by Jews before the founding of Israel 1948.
(3/4) 81 Members of Parliament have called on the foreign secretary to put pressure on Israel to stop the eviction of Palestinian families from their homes. These evictions make the possibility of peace even harder to achieve, whilst simultaneously creating a humanitarian crisis.
(4/4) The letter from MPs states: "We believe that given the huge scale of this planned dispossession which would amount to the largest displacement of Palestinians since 1967, diplomatic words of concern are insufficient”.
