How to answer “Why should we hire YOU?” In interview?

In 2 simple steps!

What not to say:
- hardworking
- team player
- it’s your dream to work there

Do this

1. Speak about the role & the challenges the business faces.

For example:

“From my understanding of this role it will involve [X].

The main challenges of this org are [1-2 challenges]”.

2. Speak about your past achievements that have results those specific challenges.

“At my previous company I [evidence of you solving challenges with metric]...

I learnt a lot of [specific skillset]

I am confident I can do the same within [org name]”

BONUS POINT:

This applies to other questions too:

Ask them a question back.

Interviews are a 2 way conversation.

In this example you might ask:

“Would you agree on the challenges I mentioned?”

Or

“Does this align with what would make a good fit?”
