1 – Manchester City hold the record for highest home attendance by an English club. City packed 84,569 fans into Maine Road for their game against Stoke City in 1934.
2. City were the first team to have won a European trophy and subsequently play in the third tier of their league.
3. Manchester City went through the entire 1990s without beating Man United. The 1994/95 season was a particular low point, when United put eight past them in two games without reply.
4. Stuart Pearce oversaw a campaign in which City scored 10 goals at home all season. He also played David James as a striker.
