100% the timing on this could all be coincidental; however, strategically planning a Twitter brigade is easy to do when a community of like-minded people already exists on a different platform.
It’s a DM group on steroids only with less gatekeeping. The owner of the @telegram channel is the only one with the ability to post a main message. To view the comments, one must click through. From a UX perspective, it’s much more seamless to just keep scrolling.
Again, there’s less gatekeeping on @telegram because private interactions are encrypted and ToS are less stringent for public channels compared to the mainstream social media platforms.
