Immediate 3-4 replies within min of posting on the platform
We found an army officer trying to buy sofa for his pregnant wife in Mumbai and we found a shopkeeper buying it for his shop in Andheri
Asking to remove the sofa listing and wanting to pay immediately
Starting with saying I am transferring 5 rs to your account for trial. But this QR code leads to you sending money to them
If you object they say - sir 5 rs hai aap try kijiye. We played along. What they do is take the 5 rs and immediately make two 5 rs transactions in your account so your account looks 5 rs richer
As soon as the 5 rs transaction went through they send a QR code which involves more money.
As we refused to transfer the call quickly became abusive.
But this is an easy scam to fall for specially if you don’t understand how money transfer works on UPI!
