A major reason i believe is that we humans, once we have something which looked far away and for which had a desire of, we feel entitled to it soon enough. What was once a dream now feels a right
And the constant comparison with those around adds a dissatisfaction with ourselves

Henceforth, while we do need to move forward and should strive to become better versions of ourselves, its also necessary to stop every once in a while, be grateful for what you have and how far you've come, without comparing yourself to others but only to yourself.
