I am glad albeit slightly amused to see this seemingly tremendous influx of talent and labor into the sex industry. This has lead to people getting very creative and really going wild (to say the least). This was predictable, given the circumstances in the wake of Covid-19.
Though, I would think the industry likely soon to become saturated, if not already so. And this is fine—the industry needs to be shaken up—but the suddenness with which I am seeing so many interesting (and kinky?) things become commonplace leads me to really contemplate...
...where sex and its relationship to society are headed. I am less concerned of anything in particular than I am curious as to where we will go from here. Will sex become much less taboo and more culturally acceptable, and thus influential within society in this regard?
Or will we quickly grow inundated with sex from overexposure, similarly to how social media has done so to us with a great many other things? Bear in mind we are already a short time away from sex being obsolete regarding human reproduction. Sex will become wholly recreational.
But do not be mistaken: people gone always be fuckin’. However, the degree to which sex becomes a cultural staple in the form of art and entertainment vis-à-vis society or its relevance slowly fades as it takes a much less relevant backseat to the future is what interests me.
I had to do a philosophy paper back in school that touched on this, but it was more so concerned with how technology, A.I. especially, would have an impact on sex and other basic human activities, such as whether we will become more like cyborgs via cybernetic augmentation, etc.
But, anyway...
